DBA EMAIL: 9/8/2008

September 8, 2008

dba'ers,

Lots of things happening....and happening FAST!!!

First, congratulations again to our online art contest winner, Westlynn Epps. In the attached photo, you will seea very excited Westlynn on her first visit to DonByramArt (historically, I have had that effect on many women). She asked her parents, Christy and Jake Epps to drive her here, who accepted Westlynn's first place award of a 16x20 framed canvas print of the winning photo from our "It must be art if...." contest. The print and frame job turned out beautifully and we are very pleased with.......well, everything and everyone associated with the contest. In fact, it's been so much fun, we are going to do it again and expand it a little.

For the next go round, we are going to have two categories. The first category will be "People". This category will include all the pictures and art that are....people. Hopefully, that is fairly clear. The second category will be"Everything Else". This category will include....everything else. See how easy this is? And if you can't decide whether your work is "People" or "Everything Else", just send it. Over the years, VC has developed a very discerning eye when it comes to determining whether something should be "People" or "Everything Else". So, email us your artwork or photos or computer art or whatever you have to don@donbyramart.com and we will take it from there. The rules are posted on donbyramart.com under contest. We already have some fun work and will keep the email doors open for new work through Friday, September 19th. Just like the first time, the winners will receive a16x20 framed canvas print of their winner! A $199 value!

Second, a short recap of yesterday at DonByramArt. One of our favorite customers (aren't you all? :)), Deb brought some of her rescued companion birds to visit and educate us. You can check Deb's mission in life out at www.squawktalk.org. I'm attaching a picture of Deb and her birds. It was truly a privilege to have her, her faithful friend Rebecca, and Deb's birds here. We stopped all the kids coming by and perched one of Deb's sweetest birds, Carly, on them for photos. We had lots of smiles, lots of fun, and lots of education!

Lastly, like to give a shout out to our new dba'ers! Welcome and as always.....

Thanks for playing nicely!
Janice, VC, Milli, and Don
